Safety & compliance

Safety is the method, not a page on the website

Every product we apply, every technician we send and every procedure we follow sits inside a safety framework. This page explains it in plain language.

Safety data sheets, on request, always

Every product used at your property has a safety data sheet: the standardised document describing its composition, hazards, first aid measures and handling requirements. You can request the SDS for anything we apply, before or after treatment, from your technician on site or by emailing us. Commercial clients receive a complete SDS pack as part of their compliance file, kept current as products change.

Registered products, label rates

We use professional products from established manufacturers, registered for their intended use, and we apply them at the rates their labels specify. The label rate is where efficacy and safety have both been tested and proven. Exceeding it does not kill pests better; it only adds risk. This is a line we do not cross for any job, any deadline, any customer request.

Eco-conscious by design

The most environmentally sound treatment is the most precise one. Our methods lean on targeted baiting, secured stations and crack-and-crevice application rather than blanket spraying, which means less product in your environment doing more work. Water treatments use larvicides selected for low impact on fish and wildlife, and honey bee colonies are relocated alive wherever access allows.

Children, pets and anyone more vulnerable

Tell us before we arrive if there is a pregnancy in the household, a family member with asthma or a respiratory condition, an infant, an elderly relative with limited mobility, or anyone undergoing treatment that affects their immune system. It changes what we use and how we schedule the visit — often to a bait-led approach with no spraying at all, or to a time when the person can be out of the property comfortably rather than at short notice.

The same applies to animals. Aquariums and garden ponds need covering and their air pumps switched off during any spray or fogging work, because fish and invertebrates are far more sensitive to insecticides than mammals are. Cages, hutches and litter trays are moved out of the treatment area. If you keep bees, poultry or livestock, say so when you book: those are all conditions we plan around rather than discover on the day.

Food premises and sensitive sites

Kitchens, food production floors, schools, clinics and pharmaceutical stores each carry their own constraints, and they are the reason our default method is containment rather than coverage. In a food environment that means sealed bait stations and crack-and-crevice work instead of surface sprays, treatments scheduled around production or service hours, and no application anywhere food is exposed or prepared. You receive a written record of every product used, its rate and its location, in the form an auditor expects.

Things we will not do

We do not apply unregistered or agricultural-only products in domestic settings, we do not exceed a label rate to make a treatment look more decisive, and we do not fog an occupied space. If a requested treatment is unsafe, we say so and offer the alternative that actually solves the problem. This costs us work occasionally, and it is not negotiable.

If something does go wrong

Call us immediately on +94 117 007 007. Reactions to a correctly applied treatment are rare, but if anyone feels unwell, or a pet behaves abnormally after a visit, we want to know within the hour, not next week. We will tell you exactly what was applied and where so a doctor or vet has the information they need, send the relevant safety data sheet immediately, and return to the property if there is anything to put right.
