Overview
Fumigation is not a stronger spray. It is a different kind of treatment: a gas fills a sealed space, moves through packaging and through the goods themselves, and reaches insects wherever they are sitting. That is why it is the method used on stored commodities and on cargo, where the population lives inside the sacks, inside the grain and inside the timber rather than on the surface where a spray would land.
The Fumigators works on shipping containers, warehouses and godowns, bagged and bulk commodities, sawn timber and wooden packaging, and vessel cargo holds. Every job comes down to the same three things done properly: sealing the space so the gas stays where it is needed, holding the exposure period without shortening it, and ventilating fully before anyone goes back in.
The sealing is the part that decides whether the rest of the work matters. A stack that lifts at one corner or a container with a damaged vent loses concentration through that gap, and the treatment underneath achieves nothing while looking exactly like a treatment that worked.

How the treatment works
Look at the space and the goods
The commodity, how it is stacked and how well the space can be sealed decide what is possible. This is done before anything is quoted, because a store that cannot be sealed needs a different conversation.
Seal
The container, the building or the stack is closed up: doors, vents, service penetrations, or gas-proof sheeting weighted down at every edge. The seal is checked before anything is applied.
Treat and hold
The gas is introduced and the space is left undisturbed for the full exposure period. The area is placarded and kept under control throughout, and it is not opened early.
Ventilate and release
The space is opened up and aired until it is safe to work in, and only then handed back. You get a written record of what was treated and when.
Safety measures
A space under fumigation is kept closed, placarded and under control for the whole exposure period, and nobody enters it. Where the work is on your premises we agree the isolation zone with your site manager before we begin, and mark it physically rather than describing it. The space is ventilated and checked before it is released back to you, and that step is never shortened because a vehicle is waiting or a shift is due to start.

- Keep people, animals and plants clear of the area for the duration
- Send us any written requirement from your buyer BEFORE the work is booked
After your treatment
- Do not open a sealed space or break a seal before we release it
- Let the goods air as instructed before handling or moving them
- Keep the written treatment record with your shipping paperwork
