Homes and Apartments

Family homes need treatments that respect the people, pets and routines inside them. We schedule around your day and use targeted methods over blanket spraying.

Targeted, not blanket

Product goes where the pests actually shelter: under sinks, behind appliances, along skirting, in roof spaces and around the external perimeter. Very little of it goes on the surfaces a household touches, which is both more effective and the reason the house is usable again quickly.

Apartments are a building problem

In a block, a pest problem rarely stops at your front door. Where the real answer is a building wide programme through the management committee, we will say so rather than treating one unit repeatedly while the rest of the block feeds it.

What you need to do

Preparation differs by treatment, so we send the specific list with your booking rather than a generic one. It is usually a matter of clearing access and putting exposed food away.

The common household problems

Cockroaches in the kitchen, ants tracking along a work surface, rodents in a roof space or store room, mosquitoes after rain, and termites in anything timber. Each has a different correct answer, and the visit is where the technician confirms which one your property actually needs.

The most common mistake we are called in after is a supermarket insecticide used on ants: it kills the foragers you can see, which stops them carrying bait back to the nest, and the colony survives to send more.

Pets, children and food

Product placement is chosen around the household rather than the household being rearranged around the treatment. Baits go where they cannot be reached, application is targeted into harbourages rather than across surfaces, and the preparation list tells you exactly what to move and what to cover.

When a follow up is part of the plan

Some treatments need a second visit to break a breeding cycle. Where that is the case it is in the plan and in the price from the start, not raised afterwards as an additional visit.

Roof spaces and store rooms

The two places household problems are usually found are the roof space and the store room, because both are quiet, undisturbed and rarely inspected. Rodents in a roof are typically entering at a single point, and finding that point is worth more than any amount of baiting.

Where an entry point is found we tell you what it is, because sealing it is usually cheap and it is the part that stops the problem returning.

After rain

Mosquito pressure at a house rises with standing water on the property itself: blocked gutters, plant saucers, unused containers and pooled drainage. Treatment helps for a period, but the sources are what decide whether it holds, and they are listed in the report rather than mentioned in passing.
