Mosquito Control

Breeding source treatment, larviciding and adult knockdown to cut mosquito pressure around homes and workplaces.

Overview

Effective mosquito control is mostly about water. Every gully trap, blocked gutter, plant saucer and drum is a nursery, and adult fogging alone gives only days of relief if the breeding sites keep producing.

Our programme treats standing water with targeted larvicides, applies residual barriers to the shaded resting surfaces where adult mosquitoes wait out the day, and uses thermal fogging for rapid knockdown when adult pressure is high, before an outdoor event for example. For compounds and workplaces we set up recurring schedules that keep pressure down season after season.

Signs you may need this service

  • Daytime biting around ankles, typical of dengue-carrying species
  • Mosquitoes resting on shaded walls, curtains and under furniture
  • Larvae wriggling in gully traps, drains and stored water
  • Increased activity at dawn and dusk around the property

How the treatment works

1

Source treatment

Gully traps, drains and unavoidable standing water are treated with larvicides that stop the next generation before it flies.

2

Residual barriers

Shaded resting surfaces such as boundary walls, under-eaves and dense foliage receive a residual application that keeps working between visits.

3

Fogging

Thermal or ULV fogging knocks down the adult population quickly, useful ahead of functions or when biting pressure is severe.

Safety measures

Fogging schedules are agreed in advance so windows can be closed and pets brought in. Larvicides we use in water are selected from products with strong safety profiles for non-target species, and technicians follow strict wind and weather rules during application.

Before your treatment

  • Empty or cover stored water, plant saucers and unused containers
  • Close windows and bring pets indoors during fogging
  • Clear gutters and unblock drains before the visit if possible
  • Cover fish ponds and aquarium air intakes

After your treatment

  • Keep windows closed for the period advised after fogging
  • Tip out any new standing water weekly
  • Keep gutters flowing and gully traps covered or treated
  • Book recurring visits during high mosquito season for sustained control
Questions

Mosquito Control FAQs

Fogging knocks down adult mosquitoes present at the time. Lasting reduction comes from combining it with larviciding and residual barriers, which is how our standard programme is built.
Yes, when applied correctly. We schedule so pets are indoors, cover sensitive water features and use products at rates registered for residential use.
