Overview

Most spiders are harmless, but heavy webbing on eaves, ceilings and warehouse racking looks neglected, contaminates stock and keeps coming back because the food supply, other insects, is still there.

Our spider work combines physical web and egg sac removal with a residual treatment on the surfaces spiders travel and settle on. Because spiders follow their prey, we also look at what is attracting the insects they feed on, especially lighting, and advise on changes that reduce the problem at its root.

Spider treatment covers the harbourages and the webs, and also the insect population the spiders are feeding on, because a building with a large fly or midge population will keep attracting them back. Treatment goes into corners, eaves, voids and external perimeters. Afterwards, expect to keep finding the occasional spider indoors: they enter from outside continuously, and a treatment reduces the resident population rather than sealing the building. Regular web removal in the same places is what keeps the difference visible.

How the treatment works

Safety measures

Applications to eaves and high corners are made with extension equipment from the ground where possible. Interior treatments target junctions and voids rather than open living surfaces, with normal room use resuming once surfaces are dry.
