Stopping termites mid-renovation in a 60-year-old house

Our inspection mapped activity across the ground floor and into two roof beams, tracing entry to soil contact points along the rear foundation. Because walls were already open, we could treat galleries directly and inject a soil barrier with unusual precision.

Damaged structural timber was flagged for the family’s engineer with photographs and location notes, so replacement decisions were made on evidence rather than guesswork. Renovation resumed nine days after our first visit.

Monitoring visits at three, six and twelve months confirmed no new activity. The completed house now sits on a continuous treated soil barrier, and the family kept the annual monitoring schedule.
