Everything about the pest pressure here follows from cargo waiting. A container yard, a transit shed and a market in walking distance of each other give stored product insects and rodents the two things they need: goods that are not moving, and a food source nearby.

Yard and store work is planned around delivery and collection times rather than dropped into the middle of them, and treatment of anything near the market takes account of a food source we cannot remove. Exclusion does more on those sites than treatment frequency ever will.
